About the Author
Benny Evans received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan in 1971. After a year at the Institute for Advanced Study he came to Oklahoma State University where he has served as Undergraduate Director, Associate Head, and Head. He has been the recipient of both public and private grants in the areas of topology and mathematics education. He has held visiting appointments at Rice University, Texas A&M University, and University of Nevada, Reno, and is currently Professor Emeritus at Oklahoma State University.

it isn't expected to be the most perfect math book of all math books

Well, it is a math book after all, it isn't expected to be the most perfect math book of all math books, it helps though. This was helpful, though it is worthwhile to purchase the book rather than the ringbound because, firstly, when it was delivered it was held together by string... easily it was already cutting into the pages. Attempting to place the pages into a 3 ringed binder only works if the binder is larger than 3 inches, or else even flipping pages will be dangerous. I was upset as is that no more hard covers or even paperbacks were left when I purchased this, but even more so that this was delivered with poor care and, of course, could not even be taken care of within my hands.
So yes, this book as a whole is helpful, if you need it for class, get it. But even if you are trying to save money and buy the cheapest form out there. Do. NOT. Buy. Anything else other than Paperback or Hardcover.
